We’ve had this for a month or so now and it has worked well over several loaves of bread. We did adjust the basic recipe to get a loaf that was lighter and not tearing open on the top. Our black unit looks good enough to leave out on a counter (all of the time). The lid is able to open fully within the standard countertop-to-bottom of cabinet dimension. The dual paddles, each smaller than other bread machines with a single paddle, do a very good job mixing the dough, releasing from the baked loaf, and leaving uniform small paddle marks in the loaf — very nice. The one surprise was that the “quick” loaf time is still over 2 hours. Our old machine made a fast loaf in just under 1 hour. So far, so good – this is a very nice unit… a bit more money, but very nice.
